Sendero luminoso

Sendero luminoso
Sendero luminoso 1995. Welded steel and found rocks. 18" high.

This sculpture takes its name from the Peruvian Maoist guerrilla movement. In 1991, the guerrillas were active in the mountains near Macchu Picchu which the artist visited at the time. The guerrillas were encountered at night among the mountains at 4,600m, and left us this note the next morning.
